 Mrs. Caroline LONG, 68 years of age died Thursday morning at  11:30 at her home 4 miles north of Crawfordsville after an  illness of 8 months. Death was caused by complications. She was  the widow of Luther R. Long, a farmer of this county for several  years. He preceded her in death 7 years. The couple were very  well known and friends and relatives were shocked to learn of the  death of Mrs. Long. Two sons and two daughters survive her. The  sons are Lawrence Long who lives in Texas and Luther who has  lived at the home. Mrs. Frank Nolan of this city and Mrs. MM  Manson of Terre Haute are the two daughters who are still living.  Mrs. Long was a member of the Christian Church and was very  active in the work of the organization up to the time of her  illness when she was forced to cease her activities. Funeral  services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the home, the  Rev. SG Smith of Ladoga having charge of the ceremonies and  burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
